I spoke with our neighbor on the beach who had just returned to her home in Nassau after a day trip to Harbour Island on the Bohengy. She reported that there was little or no damage that she saw and the beach actually looked better than when they left Sunday. Dunes, stairs, tikis all intact. I guess this is accurate only for our little stretch of the beach between Runaway Hill and Pond Rock, but it certainly bodes well for the island as a whole. She said there was power and intra-island telephone, but as yet, no one was getting in or out with calls. She said Nassau seemed to take a harder hit, and that HI actually was up and running before New Providence. Glory, glory!
