Southern Air has been around for a few years now. When Bahamasair planes are down they contract southern air to pick-up the routes. I use them for my photo shoots and they are very reliable and responsible. I have used them for charters to and from nassau for the past two years they have two 19 seaters two 9 seaters and two 6 six seaters. I have also used them for trips to Cuba, Haiti and Provdenciales. A couple of months ago they started daily service to Nassau one morning flight and one afternoon flight, following the a similar route as bahamsair stopping in Governors in one direction. I have not experieced the daily service but from friends first hand accounts they say it is great. You can reach them on 242 377 2014. Apparently they also take Bahamas Air tickets. Their schedule is as follows:

7am NAS ELH (GHB)
12pm NAS ELH (GHB)
4PM NAS ELH (GHB)

7:40 ELH NAS (GHB)
12:40 ELH NAS (GHB)
4:40 ELH NAS (GHB)

Dpending on the load they will go to the airport that has the most people first. So, if you leave nassau with four passengers for GHB and two for ELH then they will stop in GHB first.
