Just thought I would pass along something that happened a couple of years ago here in New York, that you would all appreciate as friends of the Bahamas.
I lived not too far from the Empire State Building and often would notice tourists a bit confused, looking up or staring at a map a bit dazed. This city can seem so big. I often stop and say "Can I help?" or "Do you need some directions?"
Well I saw a couple on the corner of 34th St and 5th Ave a bit dazed, by the city and all the noise so I went over to them and said "Hello, can I help you?" To my amazement, they said in a Bahamian accent (Spanish Wells) "Oh yes, please." Ok now I am in shock, because I knew they were from Spanish Wells!!!!!
I said you are from the Bahamas from Spanish Wells right? and now we are all in shock, surprised and laughing!!!!
It am sorry, that I don't remember their names, but if you see this note and remember please email me back.
Just goes to show the world is getting smaller all the time.
