I think the story is that dunmore is trying, and possibly succeeding, to become a truly world class dining experience. as the other post stated, not competing with others on the island. their chef is doing many different kinds of food, which i find exciting because i am on the island for a long time in a row, that other people are not trying to do regularly. they are doing a good thing with vegetable cuisine and also, asian, italian, creole, island, french, mexican etc... just having fun as the chef put it. they are certainly worth a visit when you come. maybe not the best you will ever have, but maybe they are.
: I have read numerous posts recently about Dunmore Beach Club's food...and each poster claims it is the "best food I ever had!" While I know Dunmore has an excellent reputation, these posts seem to be a little "over the top". They almost sound planted. What's the real scoop on the menu, the details on what makes it so special, etc.? We'll be visiting the island soon and need to know if we should give Dunmore a try for dinner. Sorry to sound a little skeptical, but objective opinions and info would be welcome.
