: Thanks, Michael. You answered my original question. I've been going to HI for over ten years now, but had never dined at Dunmore. We knew it was good, but had never heard so many raves as I've read recently here, so never had a real compelling reason to try it before. It helps knowing what type of changes they've made and it does sound like they are doing some innovative things. Perhaps we'll try to get a reservation this next trip. We usually enjoy the Landing and dinner at Runaway Hill is always memorable. Of course, conch salad from Queen Conch and lunch from Seaview takeaway are always on the itinerary too. You're right, you can't compare...

: : ok lets face it, food is a matter of opinion and briland is blessed with many great places to eat.i have eaten at all of them and they are allbest in many different ways. all the posts below are true. dunmore, of which you asked about, is now a very upscale new york, france, thai thing. magnificent presentation, fresh product, trememndous wines and the best service. landings, great food and atmosphere. harry o,s fried food etc.. try them all. great eating and have fun and remember, they all are different and dont compare them to each other

: : : I have read numerous posts recently about Dunmore Beach Club's food...and each poster claims it is the "best food I ever had!" While I know Dunmore has an excellent reputation, these posts seem to be a little "over the top". They almost sound planted. What's the real scoop on the menu, the details on what makes it so special, etc.? We'll be visiting the island soon and need to know if we should give Dunmore a try for dinner. Sorry to sound a little skeptical, but objective opinions and info would be welcome.
