Having dived with both SCUBA centers over the years, I can attest to the fact that each shop offers a novel experience. That said, I'd really rather not go back to a situation where only one dive shop exists on the island. Chris and Laura have built a great little shop, and Jef has dived the nearby waters for more than twenty years. I prefer being able to choose which dive experience I'd like to undertake on any given day.
In the meantime, I do hope that representatives from Ocean Fox and Valentine's Dive Center can clear up some of the confusion being expressed on and off the board. We shouldn't assume that VDC has anything to do with the suspension of Ocean Fox's operating license until we've heard from all sides.
