Yesterday a friend of mine who owns a home on Briland faxed me a newspaper article from The Tribune about the situation at our dump. The headline reads "Briland dump 'to be cleared in two weeks'"; I hope it is true!
Our dump has been cleaned up before and that effort didn't last. I can only hope that with stricter enforcement by local government, this won't happen again. The dump in our town in Illinois is surrounded by a chain link fence and a city employee monitors the gate 24/7.
There was no date on the article and I am curious if the work has stared or if anyone knows anything more specific.
The article also addresses the much needed road work by saying that the Ministry of Works has been to Briland to assess the situation. Do we know anything about this issue?
Let's get behind THESE efforts rather than supporting all the bickering that has been going on lately!!
