Harry Durham died last night Saturday, January 19 in Nassau. He was 40 years old.
He was a wonderful young man and friend with a big heart and a smile for everyone who knew him.
He started in the tourism industry in Nassau as a night auditor at a Cable Beach hotel. He came to Harbour Island and was our bartender at The Coral Sands for many years. He left and opened his own successful restaurant on Bay Street, Harry O's, a fun spot, where everyone seemed to stop and talk and have a wonderful grilled fish meal.
Harry was a musician who played with all of the bands on the island and livend up every party or nightclub where he was playing.
He was such a likeable human being and a delight to know.
My heart goes out to Lydia and the children: Ashley Ann, Latoya and Harry Jr.
He will be greatly missed by everyone and especially me.....I am so proud to say that he was my friend.
