Happy New Year!
Thanks to the recent security, plumbing and windows renovation by Higgs Construction [thank you, Magolda and Pork and Val and Bruce and crew!], The Briland Community Computer Center is now open for daily computer and Internet access use. The hours are Monday through Friday, 4-8 or via request of Ann Sawyer of Ann's Fashions on Clarence Street at Dunmore Street [by Ralph's Corner]. Just stop in on your way to the center, and she'll be happy to accommodate you. [Her shop is also selling the colourful Briland Modem t-shirt, all sales of which benefit the computer center and other island development programs!] Internet access on any of the center's eight computers is available for $1/4 minutes.
For those of you who are taking advantage of the brand-new Royal Bank of Canada/Amoury Company PC financing program, your brand-new computers will be arriving at RBC offices during the first week of February. Check in with assistant manager Brian Hanna for more information and details.
