Instead of calling or sending a card, I wanted to do something different this year for my mother(Queen Conch/Lavaughn Percentie) on Valentines Day.
Over the years, you have not only been a wonderful mother but also a close friend. As the youngest daughter, many times I have been a little headstrong and oftentimes sentimental toward the positive advice you’ve given me. Nevertheless, I’ve absorbed most of the valuable lessons that you have taught me.
So today mother, I just wanted to let everyone that reads this know, that you are not just a wonderful mother because you are the glue that holds our family together or because of the many things that you have gone out on a limb to give me but because of the brilliant job that you’ve done in raising me and instilling in me good moral values. Thank you mommy for being supportive and having faith in me when no one else did; I appreciate you, not only as a mother but for being that special friend in my life. I Love You and Happy Valentines Day!!
