Diving-wise, you may not be on the island long enough to get SCUBA certified, but you can certainly take a resort course at either Valentine's Dive Center [info@valentinesresort.com] or Ocean Fox diving [jef@oceanfox.com.]
Have you been to North Eleuthera before? You may want to hire a driver [Both 'Fine Threads' or 'Chuckles' come to mind, available at the North Eleuthera airport] to tour the best snorkelling beaches and fun caves to explore near you, before you rent a car or a bike. No problem renting either once you get to North Eleuthera.
Food-wise, there's an excellent supermarket in Spanish Wells just a few minutes from you that already stocks everything that you could possibly want. If you have to pack a cooler, you can bring whatever you want except for chicken and agricultural products.
Fast Ferry has a regular schedule from Spanish Wells to Briland. You can also go inland through Jean's Bay and take a taxi to Three Islands dock to catch a ferry boat to Harbour Island.
Don't seem to have much of a problem with sea lice or jellyfish this far east or that time of the year.
