Hi Emily,
We can certainly accommodate your diving certification desires whilst you are staying on Eleuthera. We have a shop based at the Harbour Island Marina which offers certifications from either PADI or SDI, whilst on Spanish Wells one of our instructors offers SSI certifications. The 10 days you have here will give you plenty of time to complete the course and enjoy some pleasurable post-certification diving.
Since you have some time before you get here I would advise you to look into getting your theory and confined water sections of the Open Water Diver course completed in your home town (assuming that you have the time!), then once you are here we can get you diving straight away (your instructor there will provide you with referral papers to bring that will confirm that you have completed those elements of the course).
