Someone needs to organize a group to take charge of the oposition to the mariner. Government rarely listens to individyal voices. Many years ago the US Dept of Energy told us they were going to put a nuclear waste high level storage facility in Casco Me. They were not listening to individuals just ignoring us. We formed an organization and brought all the oposition togeather to speak with one large voice. We found that many local people had lots of scientific, land use, political conections, friends in the media, and numerous other skills that helped oganize a large orginization that spoke with a large loud voice. We only used facts in our presentations to them. It is easy to argue with opinions but very hard to dismiss facts. After a 2 year battle they decided to locate somewhere else where as they said the opposition was not as well organized.
One thing you might try is get some of the school children to do some reserach and write essays on their research and send them to the papers in Nassau and maybe some of the large papers in the states.
