Having recently visited "Elle's new beach", I can
confirm that it is as described in the note.
It is not "on Bay Street", but up the Narrows,
on the harbor side near the "Briland Villas" site.
I also have been told that some "dredging" was done
to create more of a swimming area, and that
neighbors are upset with the way it has changed
the surrounding harbor bottom. In addition, quite a few
palms trees have been planted, creating something like
a "South Pacific" set. I also believe this was done
without any approval from the Local government.
: You have got to be kidding me ... where the *&!! are concerned locals or local council members when someone is doing that? You know damned well that she didn't do the work herself, if it's true. [And if so, who did she hire?] Can you please lead an informed discussion on the board as to what this new beach on Bay Street is? If it IS true, and she DID do it, we need to figure out why she was allowed to get away with it. [Brings back the days when the Spanish Wells guys were coming over in outboards to bleach our beach reefs to get a quick kill of lobsters. A few times of local Briland guys shooting the outboards off of their boats, and THAT particular activity stopped pretty quickly!]
