Years ago, jet skis were available for rent at Briland Yacht Club, which became Valentine's Yacht Club. When everyone in town complained, the local port authority or whatever the water commission is called did in fact ban them. No more jet skis for rent anywhere on the island. Jerry Albury seems to have his own setup, but I do not know why. No one wants these around, and other places have been able to just say no.
