Actually, I think the topic is quite important - clearly, anything that effects marine life in the waters of Harbour Island and the rest of the Bahamas is.
I too am angered and saddened that the shark and it's offspring have been killed for seemingly no reason - and wish the situation had been handled otherwise. I appreciate "Disgusted" and Dr. Leggett's passion on the issue. Maybe this discussion can effect further education in order to avoid this in the future.
: The debate over the shark situation is quite silly. The shark is dead and so are her babies and there isn't anything we can do about it now. So let the issue die; I am certain there are more important topics that can be discussed on the board.
