To be fair, the PLP's track record is 10 years old now, and a lot has happened in that decade. Hopefully the PLP has learned both from its mistakes and those made by the FNM. The legacy of corruption must be addressed, and I hope that rather than fall into the trap of cronyism the new PLP government will display its maturity and put in power those people who will not abuse it.
The Bahamas is a young nation, and all emerging nations suffer from chronic attacks of bribery and courruption in their early years. For the sake of the Bahamas and her people I hope and pray that the new government will be honest, fair, and, above all, fully accountable.
