I have visited many resort islands, mostly in the Caribbean, from modest ones to very expensive ones, and there is only ONE to which I return as often as I can - Harbor Island. There are many things that make your island attractive to me and others, but only one thing that makes it so special that I think about returning the minute I leave the dock for the airport: THE PEOPLE!
I have been visiting Harbor Island for approximately 20 years and I have friends there as important to me as anyone in my life.
I, as a visitor, apologize for anyone who may visit your island with the wrong attitude, but I will say in their defense that until they get to know the people of Harbor Island they are apt to think that the natives are just like those they have encontered on some other islands, where not only your wallet is in jeopardy, but also your life.
Please keep your positive attitude and show the visitors and new property owners just what great people live there and soon they will be in love with the island, and its people, the same way I am.
