I don't think the Central Governmnet has the resourses to give more for family island development. With the growth of NP and GBI, they have had all they can do to keep up the infrastructure for that growth.
That does not mean that HI should go with out. So many of the visitors stay in private homes. There is no tax collected for these accomodations so there are only the hotels that collect the tax. The roads are used by all. HI and other similar Islands need to develop a use tax that will preserve the infrastucture. That would come from the golf cart rentals, the boat rentals and the cab drivers. That way it does not impact the Brilanders. 10% tax on tourist will not be a negative impace on the visitors(I am one).
