Suggestion: Why don't you get ready to post the contact details for where goods and monetary donations can best be made--just in case.
Stick em on the board after the cane's path becomes clearer and before telephone lines are disrupted!
That way IF things get nasty, we mainlanders know what to do right away!

: Kimberly and Sharon arrived on Harbour Island on Friday afternoon, just in time to catch the latest maneuvers of the almost-over hurricane season. Preparations around the Harbour Island and North Eleuthera area began in earnest on Saturday afternoon in anticipation of Hurricane Michelle. The mailboats have been moved over to Spanish Wells for safekeeping, most homes and many businesses are just about boarded for the storm, and folks are looking out for each other to make sure that there's an adequate supply of water, fuel and basic drygoods. The community feeling around town is that of quiet watchfulness.
