Hi,

My name is Richard Leaman and I was the Captain of the British Destroyer HMS CARDIFF, in 1992, when Hurricane Andrew hit North Eleuthera, and we were tasked to provide humanitarian relief (medical aid, roofing, power supplies and so on)in the early days after the storm passed through. I have been asked to give a presentation on the relief effort and I have virtually no photos to show ( I was a bit too busy to take any at the time!)of the damage the winds caused. Does anyone out there have any photos I can access, or can be sent to me at this e-address? I am still in the Royal Navy and hope one day to get back out there, to see how the island is now, and to meet some of those of you I met during the relief effort. But in the meantime, any photos yopu have of the storm damage would be very gratefully received! Kind regards, Commodore Richard Leaman OBE, Director, Royal Navy Communications.
