I will grant that many of the changes that we have seen occur in recent years...for example the
coming of the Bo Hengy Ferry Service...have been
beneficial to our Island paradise. Also: the opening of more and more native businesses along
the Bay Street area which offer good native food
for us to share ... Briland natives or guests from
around the world...this is positive change.
But we have also witnessed the destruction of Pigeon Island (where so many special memories were
created for me) by money grabbing developers who
used a piece of BAHAMIAN PARADISE to line their
pockets and move on down the road without regard
to the eco-system or God's creation. This is not
progress.
Now we face the destruction of one of Briland's trues treasure...Girl's Bank. We cannot let this
happen, friends. There are many ways to launch protests against this pillaging of our natural inheritance created by the Hand of our Heavenly Maker who has entrusted His Handiwork to Us..Bahamian, American or Whomever. We all share
in his Bounty, my friends, and it is our responsibitly as Trustees of His Gifts to us that
this not be allowed to happen!
Money and Power must not prevail over the natural
beauty and the Heavenly Creation entrusted to us.
