In view of the events of Girls bank and other matters regarding the protection of Harbour Island maybe the council would like to install a pratice that is common on various islands around the world that atract a lot of tourism.
This consist in charging tourist and non residents a one time entrance fee for each time they visit the island.Either based on the amount of days a person stays or a flat fee.
Proceeds could be used for community projects like the dump,making the ball park more functional for music venues, keep the beach clean etc,etc.Things that will benefit both brilanders and visitors.
With the amount of people visiting,even if the fee would be 10 $ p.p(two goombay smashes...) this quickly adds up.
