We were planning a vacation to HI in October and thanks to this site found out that although our hotel is open everything else is pretty much shut down. Now looking at Nov. or early Dec. Any suggestions as to the best time to visit? The weather still looks nice in Nov. Would prefer to come in early Nov., but want to be sure restaurants/bars/clubs and shops in town will be open.
